PROJECT ACTIVITIES
ESSHRA activities can be categorised into
three groups of activities according to their ultimate objective:
(1) identifying SSH research priorities in partner
countries,
(2) dissemination of the results of previous
Framework Programme projects on topics of high priority for the
project partner countries,
(3) development of policies for transnational
research.
For the identification of research priorities in
project partner countries, the opinions of SSH researchers and policy makers
will be assesses via a questionnaire. Data raised with the questionnaire will
be used as the basis for selection of research topics of project dissemination
events.
For the dissemination of the results of previous
Framework Programme projects, three international conferences will be
organised. The scheduled dates for ESSHRA conferences are:

October 2007 - Istanbul Conference, Turkey

June 2007 - Malta & Swiss Conference
-
June 2007 - Sofia Conference,
Bulgaria
The targeted audiences for these Conferences
include SSH researchers, policy makers, research policy experts, and the media.
For the development of policy recommendations
to facilitate transnational research practices and collaborations, the methods
and tools created by the FP5 EU-Dimension project will be employed and a series
of activities will be performed:

Data collection on current transnational research practices via questionnaires

Group Discussions among transnational researchers and research experts
-
A transnational research policy workshop
ESSHRA project, which has
started by the 1st of March 2006, will last for 28 months and will
be finalised by the end of June 2008.
